Paxos; CRDTs.
Rudakov I. V., Bamatraf S. S. A. METHOD OF DYNAMIC DATA CONSISTENCY IN DISTRIBUTED SYSTEMS (pp. 21-30)
Abstract. An innovative method of dynamic data consistency combining the advantages of conflict-free replicated data types (CRDT) and Paxos consensus algorithm is presented. This approach allows flexible adaptation to different environments, ensuring high performance and reliability of distributed systems. The new method allows optimizing data synchronization taking into account consistency requirements and system parameters, which makes it highly effective for complex distributed environments. Key aspects of novelty include: 1) Hybrid data synchronization model: the combination of CRDT and Paxos enables the strengths of each method to be leveraged depending on the consistency requirements and current workload, which contributes to more flexible and efficient data synchronization. 2) Dynamic switching: the developed method automatically switches between CRDT and Paxos depending on the current requirements and system parameters. When certain thresholds are exceeded, the system switches to using only CRDTs, which significantly reduces latency and improves overall performance. Thus, the proposed data synchronization method represents an important step forward in the field of data management in distributed systems, providing new opportunities to improve their efficiency, scalability and reliability.
Keywords: Distributed systems; Dynamic data consistency; Data synchronization; Paxos; CRDTs.
