Kaliaev Igor Anatol'evich, Vestnik komp'iuternykh i informatsionnykh tekhnologii (Herald of computer and information technologies) editor-in-chief

kaliaevIgor Anatol'evich was born November 8, 1958 in the city of Taganrog of Rostov region in Russian Federation. In 1965 he entered the high school from which he graduated with gold medal in 1975. In the same year he entered the Taganrog Radio Engineering Institute where he obtained specialty "Electronic computers" in 1980.

Since 1980 to the present he is being working in Southern Federal University, Scientific Research Institute of Multiprocessor Computer Systems (former Taganrog Radio technical University). In 1998 he took up a position of the Head of Scientific Research Institute of Multiprocessor Computer Systems. In 1983 he successfully completed his Ph.D. dissertation and obtained a degree of the candidate of technical sciences and in 1989 he applied for degree of the doctor of technical sciences. In 1987 he was awarded with scientific title of senior researcher in the specialty "Management in Technical Systems", and in 1998 ha became Professor at the Department of computer science. In the years 1993-1996 and also in 2001-2003 Kalyaev I. A. was awarded the State scholarship as an outstanding scientist of Russia. In 1997 - 1999 he was awarded by the Russian President grant for young scientists - doctors of sciences.

In 2003 Kalyaev I. A. was elected a member-correspondent of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS), in 2007 by the decree of the President of the Russian Federation he was awarded the honorary title "Honored worker of science of the Russian Federation". In 2008 the team of authors under the conduction of Kalyaev I. A. was awarded the Russian Federation Government prize in science and technology, and in 2009 they received the prize named by A. A. Raspletin from RAS. In 2016 Kalyaev I. A. was elected a academician of Russian Academy of Sciences. From 2004 to the present the scientific school headed by Igor Kalyaev is among the leading scientific schools of Russia, marked with the grant of the President of Russian Federation.

Kalyaev I. A. is a leading Russian scientist in the field of high-performance multiprocessor computing and control systems. The results of his scientific activity encompass more than 300 scientific publications and inventions, including 11 monographs. About 70 research and development activities, which results have been implemented and used in a number of industrial enterprises and organizations of Russia, and many times represented at the major domestic and foreign exhibitions, where they were awarded with diplomas and medals, were made under his supervision and with direct participation.

Kalyaev I. A. is a member of the Presidium of the Southern Scientific Center of RAS, a member of the Board of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research, a member of the Council for Grants of the President of the Russian Federation, member of the Presidium of the Scientific and Technological Association of Rational Technical Systems named after A.S. Popov, member of the Council for Innovation and High Technology Committee of the State Duma Committee on Science and High Technology, a member of the National Committee of the International Federation of Automatic Control, a member of several scientific councils of RAS, Editor in Chief of the journal "Vestnik komp'iuternykh i informatsionnykh tekhnologii." ("Herald of computer and information technologies.") and "Izvestiia IuFU. Tekhnicheskie nauki." ("Proceedings of Southern Federal University. Technical sciences."), member of the editorial boards of a number of leading domestic and foreign scientific journals, the chairman of the program committee of the annual international scientific conferences and youth schools.

Scientific and organizational work Kalyaev I.A. combines with active teaching activities, being the head of the Department of RAS base in the Southern Federal University and chairman of the specialized council for doctoral and Ph.D. dissertations.
There are three doctors and eleven Ph.D. among his students.
