LASER-LOCATION SYSTEM FOR AUTOMATIC CONTROL OF FLIGHT AT EXTREMELY LOW ALTITUDE
(pp. 11-19)

Abstract. he article presents the results of research on the creation of a fully ACS (Automatic Control System) based on a LL (Laser Locator). The system allows the aircraft to move at extremely low altitudes. For around and overflying obstacles during the flight vertical and horizontal channels of the aircraft’s ACS are used. The algorithm of situational analysis has been developed and the parameters have been defined for the formation of safe trajectories of guidance with obstacle avoidance at extremely low altitudes. Movement occurs without oscillatory components of transients, which adversely affect the operation of LL systems. It is assumed to use the LL information and the ACS flight altitude (vertical channel), which was developed earlier for the following terrain mode. In the simulation, an automatic mode was worked out, in which the ACS of lateral displacements changes the course angle in accordance with the situational analysis and control algorithms in a horizontal channel. In this case, the aircraft flies from one intermediate point of the route to another with a simultaneous round of obstacles that arise at extremely low altitudes. The automatic control of an aircraft using LL information proposed in the article (law, algorithm, or method) provides the ability to safely move at speeds up to 850 km/h with round and overflying obstacles at minimum distances of 2–3 m. In the case of roll limits of ± 30°, rounding obstacles such as industrial-urban buildings often occurs at speeds up to 360 km/h. The proposed algorithms for situational analysis and automatic control of the aircraft course make it possible to maximize the use of terrain folds while minimizing flight altitude.

Keywords: Low-altitude flight; Laser location; Automatic control; Guidance; Situational analysis; Simulation.
