АВТОМАТИЧЕСКОЕ РАСПОЗНАВАНИЕ ЖЕЛЕЗНОДОРОЖНЫХ НОМЕРНЫХ ЗНАКОВ НА ВИДЕОПОСЛЕДОВАТЕЛЬНОСТЯХ

Аннотация. Предложен алгоритм обнаружения номерных знаков железнодорожного подвижного состава на основе метода адаптивного бустинга. Показано построение простого, быстрого и эффективного алгоритма обнаружения изображений номерных знаков при помощи преобразований Хаара для формирования информативных признаков. Полученный в результате машинного обучения классификатор использует для принятия решения ограниченное число признаков и работает в режиме реального времени. Пред-ложены алгоритмы комплексирования информации для коррекции ошибок распознавания номерных знаков для повышения вероят-ности их считывания. Коррекция ошибок осуществляется с использованием методов объединения информации, полученной по результатам независимого распознавания номеров с нескольких кадров и камер.

DETECTION AND RECOGNITION OF RAILROAD IDENTIFICATION NUMBERS ON VIDEO SEQUENCE (pp. 3-9)

Abstract. The article is devoted to the problem of automatic recognition of numbers of cars and tanks in difficult conditions with noise and interference.This paper proposes a new algorithm for detection of identification numbers of rolling stock, based techniques of adaptive boosting. It is shown that the use of Haar transform to generate informative features allows to build a simple, fast and efficient algorithm for detecting identification numbers images. The classifier based on machine learning used for deciding with the limited number of features and operates in real time. For increase the likelihood of correct reading of identification numbers it is proposed algorithm of information integration for error correction. Error correction is carried out using the methods of combining information obtained in an independent recognition of numbers images from multiple frames and multiple cameras. Algorithms for error correction uses a redundant information about identification numbers of cars and tanks and uses information theoretical methods based on correlation lines and majorization characters, as well as the method of N-grams and Levenshtein distance.Experiments described in this article demonstrate that the proposed algorithm significantly improves the probability of correct reading of identification number of cars and tanks, especially in difficult recording conditions, characterized by a high probability of error.
